Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin wa sallallahu alayhi wasallam Ala Nabina Muhammadin wa laa alihi wasahbihi ajmain Understanding the meaning of Al-Quran Acting on Al-Quran Thinking about the teachings of Al-Quran Implementing it in life Today, on the journey that we have started, we will discuss verses 11 to 16 of Surah Al-Baqarah. InshaAllah, here is the link to my Telegram channel. Join it and all kinds of announcements come there. And I have two channels. One is related to religious education in general, the other is the two-minute Quran channel
related to the rules of reading Najeera and Tajweed. Subscribe to these two channels . If you watch the videos regularly, InshaAllah, you will get a lot of benefits. In the last discussion, we gave an introduction about hypocrisy. At the beginning of Surah Al-Baqarah, after Allah Almighty has introduced the pious and mentioned a class of disbelievers, Allah Almighty has discussed the issue of hypocrites in several verses. In verses 8 to 20 of Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah Almighty has discussed the issue of hypocrites
. We need to know a background history about hypocrites . That is, when did hypocrites first emerge? That is in Medina when Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions found refuge in Medina and when the people of Medina assured them that they would be able to settle in Medina and spread the call of Islam on a state basis . As a result, the first Islamic state was established in Islam Medina and gradually the foundation of the Islamic state was strengthened by winning various wars.
At this time, hypocrites emerged. Because now Islam is strong, there is an opportunity to take advantage by identifying as Muslims. Therefore, a group of people claimed to take advantage of living in Muslim society by saying that they are Muslims, but in their hearts they hated Islam . They were not only unbelievers, but they were also anti-Islam. As a result, living in Muslim society, they took protection of their lives and property from Muslims. Because Muslims are now strong and among Muslims, they
can marry Muslim women and live there, and become heirs because if an unbeliever declares and becomes an unbeliever, he will not be the heir of his believing relatives. Therefore, they wanted to take all these worldly benefits. Therefore, they claimed that they are Muslims , but in their hearts they are anti-Islam and secretly they were conspiring against Islam. These are the hypocrites. Before this, i.e. before the establishment of the Islamic state in Medina, hypocrites did not exist. Because before this, in the Meccan era, i.e. for
13 years after the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) , identifying oneself as a Muslim meant bringing danger upon oneself. Therefore, no one claimed to be a Muslim to take any advantage. In these 13 years, those who claimed themselves as Muslims had to endure torture. Be it in any form, they had to be ready to face persecution and sacrifice, even leaving the country, losing everything for the sake of Allah’s pleasure, hoping for Paradise, hoping for Allah’s face, they had to sacrifice all these things. If only someone had introduced that they were Muslim,
then there was no advantage in identifying themselves as Muslim at that time. When the Islamic state was established and Islam was strong, there was an advantage in identifying themselves as Muslim and at present, even most of the Muslim states are not Islamic states , those states do not run according to the law of Islam. Despite this, there is an advantage in living among Muslims with the identity of a Muslim . Which is also being taken by a group of people in the Muslim society . They are working against Islam by identifying themselves as Muslims . Therefore,
it is important to know the characteristics of our hypocrites to recognize them. Because you may think that hypocrites are a historical group, a group of people, who existed at a particular time in the era of Medina, the Madani era, when the Prophet established Islam . Where is the relevance of knowing their characteristics today and you will be surprised. You can see from the beginning of Surah Al-Baqarah that there are five verses for the pious, two verses for the disbelievers, and 13 verses for the hypocrites. It is surprising
that if we continue on this journey of our interpretation, we will see that there are many more descriptions of hypocrites in different Surahs. Surah An-Nisa, Surah At-Tawbah, Surah Munafiqun , there is a Surah named after the hypocrites. And you will find it in many other Surahs. Again and again The hypocrites have come up. Why? Allah Almighty has given so many verses to be recited until the Day of Judgment criticizing a small group that has passed away in the past? No. There are hypocrites in our society who are basically the same as us and we need to recognize them
. And we need to fear our own hypocrisy . In the introduction to hypocrisy, we have given what hypocrisy is? And we have seen that hypocrisy is of two types. One is the hypocrisy of belief. That is, the one who cherishes disbelief in his heart has no faith at all. He claims to be a great Muslim outwardly. He has fallen into hypocrisy. The Quran says about him that he will be in the lowest level of Hell. Because he is the worst of all the classes of unbelievers . And the second type of hypocrisy is
hypocrisy in action, that is, hypocrites have some characteristics, if they are found in someone, then some signs of hypocrisy have been found in them. It is not that he will be in hell forever because of this, but there is fear about it, he is afraid of punishment, such as lying, breaking promises, deviating from the truth in arguments, betraying trusts, and I am sure that we, the Bengalis, understand these characteristics very well. While living in this society, we can rather say that we are trained on them from childhood.
The day the child can say that his father is not at home, he is praised. Anyway, after getting the introduction of hypocrisy, now let us see what characteristics of hypocrites are described in Surah Al-Baqarah . These are very important. We read carefully. Allah Ta’ala says, “Aujubillahi minash shaytanir rajim” when they are told, “Laf, do not make mischief on the earth,” which is translated here as “disobedience,” they say, “Innah Muslihan,” “We are only correctors,” “Ala Innahhu Muf,” “Listen,” “
They are the ones who are disobedient to Allah.” “Walakillah.” But they do not understand that. In this verse, the first word we need to pay attention to in these two verses is “Lafsiduf,” “Do not make mischief.” The word “fasad” is in the Bengali dictionary. When we hear this word, some meanings come to our minds. When we hear the word “fasad,” the thing that usually comes to our minds is chaos. Social chaos, massacres , etc. Someone may say that since the word “fasad”
is in Bengali, we could have said “Do not make mischief on the earth” in the translation here as well . Then it would have been better from one point of view. Because the Arabic word is exactly the same in Bengali, so we used it. But there is a problem there. What is meant by corruption in Sharia is a bit broader. And what we mean by corruption in Bengali is a bit narrower. That is why we have tried to use a general word that does not involve disobedience to Allah. As a result, the broad meaning of the word corruption
comes into it. That is why my preference is to use the word disobedience instead of using corruption. I hope I have been able to explain the reason. Because what is meant by corruption in Arabic, in Bengali right now we do not understand it when we say corruption. The word corruption has a linguistic meaning. We should always remember that if you want to understand the Al-Quran, you have to put two things together. What are those two things? You have to put two kinds of meanings together. One is
the linguistic meaning. The other is the meaning of Sharia. And to understand the meaning of Sharia, you must look at the words of linguists. And you have to look at the words of the Salaf. We call the three generations of the Companions, Tabe Tabe Tabe, and their followers, the Salaf. But basically, these three generations have to see their statements about language. We have to see the statements of linguists. Those who are linguists. Similarly, the meaning of language alone will not be enough. We have to see the meaning of Sharia. Because
in Sharia, that meaning may be taken from that word in a slightly modified sense. For example, if you want to understand the meaning of the word Salat in the Quran, you cannot just go by the linguistic meaning. What is the linguistic meaning of the word Salat? You say? Prayer. The linguistic meaning of Salat is prayer. But when we Muslims talk about prayer, about the five daily prayers, we are not just talking about supplication, but about a specific act of worship, the meaning of which is understood in a slightly different language.
Where did that special meaning come from? To get this special meaning, we have to look at other verses of the Quran, Hadiths , and again, another thing that I said before, in terms of language, we have to look at the statements of the Salaf. So, in both places, the statements of our companions, the Tabi’id, and the Tabi’id. We have to see, so the word fasad is now coming before us, so to understand what fasad means, we will look at its linguistic meaning and also how the word fasad has been applied in the Quran and Hadith [gasp]
and also what has been narrated about it from the three generations of the Companions and the followers in their interpretations. First of all, the linguistic meaning is that the desirable or proper state of something changes. So fasad is something that is ideal, desirable, proper, proper. The word proper is the most beautiful. In my opinion, my choice is proper, proper, proper, or you can say many things, a balanced state, a perfect state, a well-ordered state . When this state changes, it is called fasad.
In other words, look at the second point. There is no such thing as something becoming harmful or changing when its benefits are lost. Something is spoiled or harmful from the beginning. For example, we can understand it very easily in the case of food. And another word we use in Bengali is decay. Something spoiling, rotting . This is corruption. Linguistically, linguistically. As a result, the food was delicious for us. It had a beautiful smell, it was beneficial for our health. It was spoiled. It had a distorted taste and it
was harmful for us to eat . The commentators have mentioned kufr and sin in the interpretation of corruption . Let’s see what we mean by corruption by what we mean by the commentators here. First of all, if you want to read the meaning of the pure interpretation, then welcome here. We try to analyze the statements of the Salaf very well. Alhamdulillah. Maybe I don’t always present all the analysis in detail to you. Because I don’t have time. This encyclopedia can be found here all. From here, I
will show you some examples. I will show you examples with a screenshot of that book. I will not show all the statements. I will show you one or two statements. The linguistic meaning about corruption that we understood. What did the Salaf say? What did the Companions say? Look here, Abdul Ibn Masud, who certainly does not understand Arabic . I apologize to those who do. But let it be in front as an example. You listen to me. Those who can read can understand that the name of Abdul Ibn Masud is mentioned here and it is narrated from other companions and from Abdul Ibn Abbas that
the corruption they are talking about is called kufr al-masiyyah. One is kufr, disbelief, and we have seen the types of kufr. It can be disbelief in the heart. Even if there is no disbelief in the heart, if someone declares with his mouth and denies it, he may believe in it in his heart but denies it with his mouth or is arrogant and does not follow Islam or makes fun of it. We have seen different types of kufr. So these do not mean kufr, but there is no such thing as disbelief alone. So what are the companions saying? The companions say that
corruption is kufr and al-amal masih is sin, kufr and sin is all kufr and sin is the judge. Is this corruption a broad term? So when we say corruption in Bengali, what we understand as social chaos is included, and many more things are included. So, before, when you heard the word fasad in Bengali, you might have thought that if a person sits in a house and closes the door and does something wrong, commits a sin, then we don’t call it fasad. A person who sits in a house and does nothing to harm anyone. He is doing something wrong all by himself. Now if
I say that he is doing fasad, if you hear it in Bengali, you will say that your wording is not correct. Is he fasad or is he doing fasad? He has his opinion, we say, even if he has disbelief in his heart, he walks around in the Muslim community, he does not harm anyone, he does not get into anyone’s hands, if I say that he is an unbeliever, he is causing corruption, if anyone hears it in Bengali, they will say that no, this is not corruption, we do not call it corruption. What is the reason for that? Because he understands
the meaning of Bengali in a limited sense, but look, for this reason , we have to go to where in Salam’s speech and in Arabic, Abul Alia, he is a senior Tabi’i and an excellent commentator, although very few Tafsirs have been narrated from him. What does Abul Alia say, lafil ilafal, which means that he does not engage in disobedience to Allah on earth, then he says, oknafasad jalikamasiyatallah, what was their corruption? Disobedience to Allah was their corruption. Who is saying this? Abul Alia, he is a senior
Tabina, meaning he has found the companions. Because if someone on earth acts against Allah, disobeys Allah or orders to do evil. He does it himself or orders to do evil, calls people to do evil, calls them to do evil, orders them, builds a cinema hall, launches something that makes people commit sins, disobeys Allah, he has caused corruption on earth, then he says something like why Lina Salah Samabi because the good state of the earth and the sky exists through obedience to Allah. There is an indication in this saying that
the reason for the open corruption that people see is hidden corruption. There is an indication in this saying. The reason is that when Arabs also say the word corruption, what do they understand at first glance? They will understand it as open corruption, which means a natural disaster or social chaos, drought, lack of rain, crop damage, destruction of fields, destruction of livestock, these will be understood as corruption. Abul Alia seems to be saying that corruption is disobedience to Allah. Why? Because natural corruption is coming down on the earth
because of disobedience to Allah . That is why this is also corruption. We will see more explanations of this matter. It is also narrated from Mujahid. Mujahid is a very important commentator. You want to understand the Quran. You have to go to Mujahid. You have to go to Mujahid’s interpretation. Mujahid’s interpretation has a speciality. You see Mujahid is a student of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). Many interpretations have been narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). Let’s say
about the interpretation from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), let’s say Rafi has 10,000 narrations. I am not saying that exact number ? Close. Mujahid is a student of Ibn Abbas. There may be 5,000 narrations narrated from Mujahid. But sometimes Mujahid’s narration can be more important. Why? Because out of the 10,000 narrations from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), many are weak. Weak narrations. On the contrary, there is a narration from Mujahid here in the chain of Ibn Jurayj. Another one can be found in the chain of Ibn Abu Nazih and two.
Most of the narrations in the chain of these two are authentic narrations. So, is what is narrated from Ibn Abbas in the chain of weak chains of chains correct? If you want to be sure, you should look at Mujahid’s tafsir. Why? Because Mujahid is a direct student of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). And it is no exaggeration to say that Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) is the best student of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) in the field of tafsir. Because he has learned the tafsir of the entire Quran from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) for a long time
. He has asked him repeatedly. He read the Quran to him repeatedly and he learned from him repeatedly and he was also a scholar of Quran recitation and which is our subject and a scholar of Tafsir that is why he is very important what he is saying here. So a good way to learn about Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) Tafsir is to read the Tafsir of Mujahid and it is narrated in a lot of authentic narrations that when they commit a sin they are told Latafah do not commit a sin they say Inna Huda
we are on guidance. That means Mujahid also made this thing clear that what does fasad mean in this verse? Sin. If we want to say it in one word and many others have narrated it, I did not bring all of them. We saw that the Mufassig mentioned kufr and sin in the Tafsir of fasad, this is point number four. Well, even if someone does not harm anyone in your eyes, his kufr and sin will be fasad. As I got the hint from Abu Aliya . Because, when a person commits a sin secretly, even then he has already said a little earlier
what is the linguistic meaning of corruption? It is a change from his right state. So what was the right or proper state of a servant? He will be in obedience to Allah. So whenever he commits a sin, his state is ruined from this point. His desired state is ruined. Secondly, sinful deeds are the cause of natural disasters. As a result, sinful deeds are also corruption from this point as Abu Aliya said, due to obedience, the earth and sky certainly prevail and disasters come due to sins. Allah has informed in the Quran that
due to the deeds of the people of the world, disasters have spread on the seas so that Allah may make people taste a part of their bad deeds so that they return. Allah does not punish all sins but Allah is giving a little test. The storehouse of sins of people is very large. He is giving a little test of it so that people become aware. This is the mercy of Allah. This is verse number 41 of Surah Rum, it is not written here. I told you that the Surah has 41 written He wrote, “Look at verse 41 of Surah Rum. To understand the meaning of corruption, we
have to come to this verse. If we explain this verse, its essence is that due to human sins, various natural disasters, corruption, oppression, and oppression spread on land and sea. These spread diseases, pleasures, and other dangers and disasters spread. As a part of the result of human misdeeds, these happen so that people become cautious and abandon their sins and return to the path of obedience to Allah. However, these are not the complete punishment for human sins, but only a small part of it. Those who do not become cautious and abandon their sins
will face their full reward in the Hereafter, which is very severe. So, as a result of what we have said so far, all the kufr sins are included in the Arabic word fasad, such as kufr, disobedience to Allah, hypocrisy, oppression, bloodshed, conspiracies of Muslims, preventing people from coming to the path of religion, preventing people from coming to the path of religion, this corruption is great. Many times, parents also do this to their children . There are many families like this. They do not want to let their children follow the path of religion.
A father who does not want to let his daughter wear the veil. You will be surprised . You have been surprised for so long. But do you understand now? Can you guess a little now? I have not said much more. Yes. If you say more, it will become a problem. If you say more, it will become a family problem. The father who claims to be a Muslim but then does not want to let his daughter wear the veil, then where is his problem? I hope you will understand after reading these verses. Because these are corruption. And
you have seen who is forbidden to do this corruption. What do they say then? Now you have to see this. They say Innaman Nahan Muslihun, we are the correctors. This translation is not good, but I could not give a better translation. I have searched a lot, maybe if you think a little more, you will find that this translation is not good. This does not properly understand the meaning of Muslihun. Let us break it down a little more. The word Muslih is derived from Islah and the two meanings of Islah are narrated from the Salaf.
I hope those of you who regularly listen to my lectures are familiar with the word Salaf. For those who are new to listening, I will say it again , the first three generations of the Companions are basically called Salaf and their followers are also called Salaf in a secondary sense. Why? What is their specialty? Their specialty is that we should understand our religion from them. The Quran says, the Hadith says, the Tafsir says, whatever they say, we should understand it from them. The Aqeedah says
because they are the best generation according to the testimony of the Prophet or the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said about the three generations that these three generations are the best generation. So we have to take the understanding of the day from them . From them, two meanings of the word Muslih are found. One of its meanings is the word Islah and from Islah comes Muslih. One of the meanings of the word Islah is to reconcile between two parties. An example of this is the interpretation
that can be found from the Salaf. They say that the hypocrites were seen to be witnesses to the unbelievers, especially the Jews, because in the state of Medina there was some agreement with the Jews. But the Jews remained hostile to Islam. Except for a few who accepted Islam. When the hypocrites were asked why do you have so much love for the Jews? They would say, “We are actually trying to create a union between the two groups, a union between the Muslims and the non-Muslims.” Innahnu
Muslihun is a meaning. When they were told not to spread mischief on earth, not to commit wrongdoing, not to obstruct the path of the religion of Allah, not to conspire with the disbelievers, they said no, we are on good terms with the disbelievers, we are going to make a compromise between them for the benefit of both parties, in this sense they say Innaman Muslim, this is one meaning, the second meaning is the interpretation of Mujahid a little while ago, you saw there, did you notice that when they were told Las
and they said we are on the right path, this is the second meaning of Islah, which means correctors, i.e. we are correctors, i.e. we are righteous, righteous in the sense of Mutin or in the sense or Nahan Al-Huda as Mujahid said, this is the second meaning, i.e. we are good people, good people of your corruption system, or in this case , should we not be limited to these two meanings narrated by the Salaf, because the Salaf often give examples and explain the partial meaning of a word, notice that these are important principles for understanding the interpretation,
if there is any other meaning of that word and that Applying meaning is the Quran and Hadith. It can also be taken in the sense that it is not contradictory, so islah means that something is not in its right state. Bringing it back to its right state can also be called islah. Therefore, the meaning of innaman muslih can be in the sense that we are making this an undesirable situation or a mess . We are removing a problem. When they are called Lafsidufil Ardi they say that we are reforming they are peacemakers of the society yes what then what did we get they
come what identity look at the identities of the hypocrites Allah has made clear they come as peacemakers they can come as social workers one that I am dealing with the problems of the society dealing with poverty I am eliminating I am who I am Muslim I myself am Muslim my father and grandfather are Muslim I work in the Muslim society I am eliminating poverty how do you eliminate poverty I give cows on interest to our girls I am empowering our women are oppressed weak I am empowering them someone needs to empower
I give cows to them on interest this is a good work no problem Islam is doing. We should not let families be poor Sen I will make them understand that our younger brother whether it is a boy or a girl two children are enough. Now it is happening that more than two children. If one is better. If there are no children then it is better for Muslims. Yes. The population of Muslims should be low. This is the main objective. Yes. They show. That is why you will see that they are actually working from the land of the unbelievers. They work for them. But they
work as Muslims. They are not against religion. They do not say anything against their religion. Notice that they try to match the descriptions of the Quran. They do not speak against religion. They do not speak against Islam. But are they saying that the property of men and women should be equal. Otherwise, it is not justice, it is not equal. Then there are all the new issues that were not there at that time. Because you may think that these are coming about Abdullah Ibn Ubayy. During the era of the hypocrites, the leader of Medina, they are not so much for us. You have to look at the current issues. Yes.
Although I do not talk much about these. I personally do not talk much about social issues. But you see, do you compare transgender, homosexuality, which are heard now. These are personal freedoms, the rights of each individual, we are working to establish these rights. We are not against any religion. We are doing good work. We are eliminating poverty. We are eliminating the social inconsistencies. We are improving the economic situation. They are coming with this identity. But Allah is showing us with his eyes and fingers.
Innah Muslin Then Allah Subhataala said the victory of their words Ala Innahu Musli. First, we have to look at the word Ala. The word Ala in Arabic is Harfut Tanbih Otaqid. It is such a word. It is a letter. In Arabic, it means parts of speech. There are three types of Ism Fell Harf Noun Adjective Noun Adjective These are Ism Feyal are verbs and the rest are prepositions, conjunctions, these are prepositions. What are these in Bengali? These are Haf. Anyway, this word is said to attract attention and as a result, the importance of the matter being attracted
is increased. In Bengali, in my opinion, the closest word is Listen. You will find more in the translation. Some say Pay attention. Some say Know. In Bengali, we do not say to anyone. Know, pay attention. In Bengali, we say Listen. Listen to this but like this again listen to this but like this that’s why I think listening here is the best of all the translations even though it’s not a literal translation because I have to see how in Arabic it draws attention with ala in Bengali with a word
that draws attention with yes there is no such exact word because listening is a verb the word ala is a verb not a verb it’s a letter what I said so I won’t get the exact word but close that’s why I feel like using a verb to translate it listen to in Bengali then Allah says only these are the corrupters involved in disobedience innahum mufs walakillah but even though they don’t realize it I will tell you to notice one word here Allah subhaatala has established that they are the only wrongdoers involved in sin using four linguistic tools
. Number one is ala. Because we said what happens with ala? It emphasizes by attracting attention. Number two is inna. inna It means to emphasize something. You understand the word “taqid”. Tagid is the word “taqid” in Bangla. It means to emphasize. It would have been said “inna humul mufsidun”. But another hum has been added to it. This hum is called “damirul fasl”. What is its function? We will discuss it another time in the discussion of grammar . If we discuss everything together, we will not be able to remember it. But one thing is that
it has the benefit of giving more emphasis to the thing. And finally, instead of hum mufsidun, humul mufsidun al has been used. This is number four. Because what does it mean if al is used? It means that they are all the corrupters. It seems that all the corrupters have become limited to them. In reality, hypocrites are corrupters and there are corrupters outside of hypocrites. But Allah Subhanatala limited corruption to hypocrites by using the preposition al. So the meaning is listen, only these
are the disobedient people . Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala has identified them as the ones who create corruption with four injunctions. As a result, you understand how serious the corruption is , but they do not realize it. When they are told, believe in the same way that people have believed, meaning all people, meaning everyone except you. That is, believe genuinely like them. Believe from the heart. Believe from the heart along with the verbal declaration and by implementing it through the actions of the limbs
. The commentators agree that everyone is speaking. So this is a very important verse that will save you from confusion. If we read the Quran a little deeply, we will find all the principles in the Quran that will save us from confusion. This verse proves that the acceptable faith in the sight of Allah is the faith of the companions. Therefore, if someone says, “I only believe in the Quran and do not believe in anything else,” he is clearly confused because you need to know what the faith of the companions was. Because if you truly believe the Quran,
Allah has made it clear in the Quran that you must believe as the people have believed. And by people, this verse means nothing but the Companions. Because at that time there were no other believers except the Companions. So the Companions are the touchstones of faith. Therefore, Allah will preserve the understanding of the religion of the Companions, proving this. Then you see another thing that the Quran has shown us with your fingers in your eyes, what do they say, what do the hypocrites say, “Shall we
believe in the same way that the fools believed?” That means they are calling the companions fools. This is a terrible thing. Therefore, whenever you see someone harboring any kind of hatred towards the companions, spreading hatred, you should understand that the smell of hypocrisy is coming from there. Be careful, be careful, because this is a sign of hypocrisy. They say that the companions were fools. The companions did not understand the religion. We understand better than the companions. We will explain the Quran. We
will not take the explanation of the companions. We will explain it like we do. We will not take the explanation of the Prophet Muhammad. We will not take the explanation of the companions. Hypocrisy. Allah has said, “Ala innahufahah” (in the same language). Similarly, the subject of creed is emerging from every verse. Exactly, if we study the creed of the verse after verse, if we study the Quran properly, Allah says, “Listen, they are the only fools and the guardians of the world,” but they do not know it. Here, everyone means
the companions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), that is, just as the companions verbally acknowledged the truthfulness of the news received about Allah, the angels, the Prophets, the Book, the life after death, etc., and by having a firm belief in these things in their hearts, they believed with truth and obeyed the commands of Allah. This is the meaning of the verse. Does the word “sufaha” mean “foolish?” Here, look a little more and see that the plural of “safi” is “sufaha.” Safi means those whose intellect is not biased,
ignorant of good and evil, who cannot understand good and evil. Ibn Qayyim said that this is extreme ignorance. He does not know what is good. He chooses that which is harmful. That is why if someone is biased in spending money in terms of money , Maybe he is 18 or 20 years old but he only spends money on bad things. He is repeatedly cheated by wasting money and spending money on haram things and wasting money. According to the rules of Islam, he is Safih and in that case, Sharia will impose restrictions on him so that he cannot waste his wealth. Then
even if he is 18 or 20 years old, he will appoint a guardian for him. That guardian will take care of his money. His guardian will spend for him, he will not be given money because he is stupid. So what do the hypocrites mean by calling the companions stupid? Because the companions do not understand the trick that the hypocrites are doing, that just saying I am a Muslim is enough. Not saying it verbally, not everything can be done verbally . In our society, you do not see it now. If you say Muslim verbally, everything can be done.
Starting from marriage, everything. You can get married. You will get an inheritance. Muslims will perform your funeral. You will be buried in a Muslim cemetery. You can live with Muslims with a Muslim identity. You can have fun and have Iftar in Ramadan. You can have festivals on Eid. You can sing songs . It is enough that you are a Muslim. No one will see whether you pray or not. Those who do not understand this, the companions do not understand this simple wisdom. The companions did not understand. That is why they have claimed to be Muslims in their hearts and
in the process of implementing Islam, how much they have sacrificed, what is foolishness, great foolishness, this is what the hypocrites say, they were fools, we said it like before [sigh] In the presence of the believers, they say we have believed , but when they meet their devils in private, what is meant by their devil? Here we will see, they say, “Innamaqum, we are with you, Innah Mustajin.” We were joking a little with the believers, we were making fun of them, making them understand that we are believers
, but in fact we are in your group. In Arabic, every evil disobedient person is called a devil. A devil can be a human, a jinn, an animal. Satan does not mean only a jinn in Arabic. Here, Satan means human Satan. It means the companions, companions and leaders of the hypocrites . So what do they say when they return to their companions and leaders? They say that we were joking a little with the believers. What is the consequence of Allahu Yastahjibihim ? What is the consequence of mocking the believers? Allah
mocks them. Let me break down the next part a little. First, if you look at the meaning of the word Yamudduhum, you will find two types of meanings in the Tafsir. One meaning is to give concessions. The other meaning is to increase something. And if you look at the meaning of increasing, then it is said that Fityanihim Taghian means transgression in their transgression , it means that Allah increases their transgression, and since Yamuddu has the meaning of giving concessions, Imamatbari says that He
increases them by giving concessions, it means that He mocks those who mock the believers, as a punishment for mocking them, Allah mocks them and gives them concessions. By giving concessions, He increases their transgression . How is this? Because when the sinner, after committing a sin, sees that there is no danger to him, he is improving more. He is saved. No one can catch his trick. Then he no longer thinks about repentance. He does not return. And this is what happens then? He becomes more careless. This is
increasing his transgression by making concessions. Here, it is said that kufr and disobedience are in brackets. I mean, I have called transgression kufr and disobedience because the Salaf, when talking about the meaning of tugiyan, said kufr and disobedience. The main meaning of tugiyan linguistically is transgression. So what the Salaf meant was what type of transgression they had, kufr and disobedience. That is why I put it in brackets. Because later I will use the word “increase transgression”
. So after reviewing my translation for the fourth time, the first message was, I think, eight years ago. I have been doing this work for eight years. Alhamdulillah. You can see the fruits of roughly eight years of work. I don’t know how much of what is here is for you. May Allah accept it. That is why since the word transgression is there , I have cleverly inserted the interpretation of the words of the predecessors of the companions here. Yamudduhumfitiyamahun Yamahun means that they are confused, lost, confused, wandering around,
as if they have fallen into a maze, meaning they cannot get out of their confusion, they cannot get out of their confusion, they are wandering around in confusion, because this Yamudduhum is the state when Allah increases them. This is Arabic, we will learn grammar later. To make it easier to understand, let me tell you what is their state when Allah increases their transgression ? The state is Yamahun. This hum is that they The situation is Yamahun. That is why the translation is like this. Allah mocks them
and increases their transgression by abandoning them while they wander around in disbelief and disobedience. This is their reward. Abdur Rahman As-Saadi, a recent commentator, may Allah have mercy on him, said in his tafseer that this is their reward because they used to mock the servants of Allah. Is Allah mocking them? One aspect of this is that Allah makes their lowly state seem attractive to them. The lowly state in which they are in hypocrisy begins to look beautiful to them. As a result, they think that they are with the believers. That is, they
will get away with it with the believers. Since Allah did not make the believers fight against them on earth. Because the believers could not prove their disbelief. Because they are hypocrites, they have hidden it. One aspect of Allah’s mockery of them on the Day of Judgment is that He will give them external light along with the believers, which we saw in the last discussion. When the light needed to cross the path of righteousness will take a lot of light, we will need our light to cross the path of righteousness. We will
have to do a lot of good deeds. Allah will then give them external light along with the believers. Then when the believers will move forward with their own light, the light of the hypocrites will go out. As a result, after receiving the light, they will be immersed in darkness and will be lost. How difficult it is to be disappointed after coming. This is what Abdur Rahman Saadi and others before him said is mockery. Mockery from Allah. As stated in verse 13 of Surah Hadid of the Quran, which you saw last time,
the hypocrites, men and women, will say to the believers, “Wait, we will take a piece of light from your light.” They will be told, “Go back and seek the light.” Then a wall will be raised between the hypocrites and the believers, and in it will be a door. How do we understand these words when they are applied to Allah? Ibn Taymiyyah says that mockery or trickery is reprehensible when such behavior is done in which evil is hidden for the purpose of denying the truth or for the purpose of oppression,
while outwardly showing kindness. So when is mockery or trickery reprehensible? When it is done in order to deny the truth or for the purpose of oppression. When people behave in the opposite way openly with bad intentions and concealing bad intentions, it is reprehensible , but is the mockery of Allah with the hypocrites a reward for their bad behavior? So it is good justice and praiseworthy. That is, Allah mocks, there is nothing surprising in it, there is nothing to be offended by it, because Allah only
mocks those who behaved badly with the believers as a punishment for them. They tried to mock, tried to mock the believers or did it as a reward for them. When Allah does this, this is justice and it is praiseworthy. Just as when someone tries to deceive a good person, but I am giving an example of a good person, for the convenience of understanding, when that person is intelligent, he avoids his deception, rather he traps him in the opposite trap, then what do we call this? This is justice and it is praiseworthy. In the case of Allah Subhanatala, this is more
applicable, so Allah Subhanatala mocks, yes, but it is being said unconditionally, it is not being said. Those who mock the believers, Allah mocks them as a reward and in that case this is the best justice and praiseworthy belief that we must uphold. They are the ones who bought error in exchange for guidance. What did they buy? They made a business. The hypocrites made a business. What did they make a business? They bought error in exchange for guidance. They sold guidance without God and bought it.
Their business was not profitable. Why were they not guided on the Day of Judgment? The characteristics of the hypocrites that we found are the number one. They commit sins and misdeeds and claim to be in league with the unbelievers. Then you will understand the characteristics of the hypocrites. How do they destroy the society by committing evil deeds and wrongdoings? They destroy the families of Muslims. They make many people disbelievers. They turn them away from religion. They feed them interest and
create hatred for religion. What do they call these? They do these things under the guise of good deeds and give them beautiful names. This is the development of society, the empowerment of women and the So on and on they travel, they consider the true believers as fools. If they can recognize the hypocrites, they will be disbelievers. Maintain good relations with everyone. They do not speak against religion in public. They secretly make fun of believers. Let’s do grammar. Yes. Very interesting. Today’s grammar, Insha Allah, we
will finish by 10. Isha prayer is very late in the mosque. We are forced to start the program a little late. If any of you are tired or cannot catch the Fajr prayer. If you are afraid, lie down now. Listen to it later. It will be there Insha Allah. When they are told, let’s break it down. We know that we have seen wata many times. Wa means and and etc. and wa is usually used at the beginning of a sentence in Arabic. Iza means when Qila comes from Kala in passive voice Kala means it is past he said Qila means it was said passive voice Active
passive was said but here it is said that means it came in the present sense Remember one thing that tense is a matter in Arabic even if the structure of a word is in past tense the meaning can be present the meaning can be future it has to be understood by other words and condescend . When it comes with Iza that when it happens then it usually comes with Iza in past tense . But the meaning is present then in translation it should be said that it was said not said. When Iza is said Lahum means for them. Lahum.
The word Lam comes in many meanings. Here we can say for being. But when it is said for them it is not understood in Bengali. It means they are said in this sense. They are told that the banana comes with the lam. Yes, I told him. I told him that if you want to say it in Arabic, you have to say it with a lam. I told Muhammad, “Kultu Muhammad” means “Kultu li Muhammad.” Here, it is not said like this, “Lahum lihum,” but “La Ali” means the same “Lahum.” That is,
they are told that when it is said to them, “Fild, do not make mischief on the earth,” the meaning is very clear, “La” means negative prohibition. “Tufsidu fi” means “in the middle.” “Ard” means “earth,” “do not make mischief on the earth.” Here, many times when we explain the grammar and vocabulary, the translation will be a little strange. It means “a little bit of mischief on the earth” to explain the meanings of the word.
Yes, here it says “in the middle.” But in the final translation, it says “in the middle of the earth.” It sounds beautiful. “Do not make mischief on the earth.” ” Do not make mischief on the earth.” It sounds beautiful. It doesn’t sound beautiful on the earth. But now, to explain the meaning, I have written it like this. “Well, look at the tufsidu, what happened?” It comes from “Afsada.” Past tense , past Then the salt will fall to indicate the prohibition
. It will not be said la tufsiduna. It will be said la tufsidu. I will explain with an example. I think a teacher and some students came to me and said that Ustad, we are being slandered, that we are causing mischief, then I assured them that I know that you are not causing mischief, what is this sentence when I said you are not causing mischief, did I forbid them that you do not cause mischief or did I not forbid them that you do not cause mischief? I informed them that you are not causing mischief,
anakumla tufsidun, then I will say tufsidun with salt, I know anakumla tufsidun, I know that you are not causing mischief, I know that this is slander, so here they will come with a joke and look at another example, I am calling them and forbidding them, Aihatullah, the students are making mischief, you are not causing mischief, but you are causing mischief, what should I say? I will say it without salt. What is happening here is that the hypocrites are being told la tufsidufil and are being forbidden. So what happened here? The salt fell.
Yes, I hope you understand [sigh] Then they say, “Kalu innahu muslih,” we are only correctors. “Kalu” comes from “kala.” If you add “waw” to “kala,” then “kala” is the past tense. Was. Majhi means he said that when it becomes waw, it becomes plural when it is added. They said. Kalu here this alif comes this is the way of writing forget the alif but the main thing is that the kal is joined with waw it is kalu i.e. they said here they say in the meaning why they say because a little earlier we saw
that it came with ija in the past tense in the sentence with ija actually in Arabic it means present tense so that is why the meaning is kalu when they are told do not make any mischief they say innama means inna means only means only we only nahnu we are only muslih we are only correctors and nothing more than correctors we do nothing other than correcting we do not do anything Don’t indulge in disobedience , now I have removed the word “fasad”. I put it at the beginning for you to understand. Why don’t we give fasad in the translation? I have explained this. They say, “We are
only the correctors.” Ala innahumdun. Listen, surely innahum innahu inna means “surely hum” means “they.” Surely they are “they.” Again, they are “al -mufsidun,” the one who creates fasad. How does “mufsidun” come here? A little while ago, we saw how “muslihan” came from “aslaha,” the one who makes reforms. Similarly, “afsada” means “he who caused fasad .” Mufsid means “the one who causes fasad. ” The plural is “al”
with “mufsidun” and “nun .” I have also explained that it is as if Allah has made all the mischief-makers in this community like that . So, if only they cause mischief and no one else does it. This is a kind of exaggeration. It means that [snorting] is being emphasized too much. Listen, surely they are the ones who create mischief. But La Yashun they do not understand. Here you see they do not understand. A message is being given. It is not forbidden to understand or not to say they do not understand. That is why this salt is Asha
means he understood Yasru means he understood and by adding Wa they understood La Yasru means they do not understand. Now I have said to make it clear that they do not understand. Listen, only they are involved in the state of Allah, although they do not understand. Why did we not write another translation of this because we have already got it once before? Lahu means we have understood. When they are told Aminu means you believe, how does it come from Amanu means he believed? If you want to give an order in Arabic, it is said Amin you believe. But
it is given directly to whom the person is talking to, the second person Amin you believe. If you add Wa to it, you will be done. You believe. Aminu. Then Aminu means you believe . Kama Aman Nasu means the same with Kaf. Aman nasu nas means human. Aman means we saw that he believed. It means that people believed. People believed. Believe in the way that he believed. This may be the meaning. What is the mata here and mata is not in the translation here. Why? Now I will explain it. Actually, an isem comes with kafir, the noun
amana but it is a verb. Kaf cannot take the verb directly. If we had said this normally outside the Quran, then it would have been normally called aminuka imaninnas. Iman means faith. Nas means like the faith of people. Believe like the faith of people. It would have been said like this. But when the word iman is used here, what kind of word is this faith? It is called a Masdar . That is, the name of the act that amana is called is faith. It was supposed to be said like this Aminuka imanin nas. With Masdar. But when there is no Masdar and
there is a verb or a verb instead, then Kaf cannot take it directly as Masdar. This ma comes to convert it into Masdar. That’s why this mother is called ma masdaria mim alif. If you look at kaf then there is a direct amanannas here there is a verb you can’t catch it you have to take it in the meaning of masdar you have to convert it to the meaning of masdar to convert it to this meaning like people’s faith this mata comes mim alif ma this mother but it comes in many meanings out of which this is one it is
called ma masdaria it is not written here but you take a little note or remember masdaria ma there are many types one is negative ma a little later we will see negative ma will come. So this is masdari. That is to say the verb that comes after it gives the meaning of masdar to the verb. That means to believe like people’s faith this is the meaning. That’s why ma cannot be contained in the translation. Kalu they say anuminu Shall we believe? Shall we believe? Anuminu Kama Amna Sufaha Like the faith of fools Like the faith of fools Do we believe? Yes Kama Amana
has understood and I have not broken it down here A little while ago what Kama Amana means We saw so we understood the meaning They say We will believe? Like the faith of fools Do we believe ? Here from Amana he believed Iminu he believes Namin We believe Na is not Nahnur Nonata Khel Nahnu means we Numinu We believe Anuminu Ani or Anbo Yes In Arabic we said the same word together in the present future Will we believe This Hamza is Hamzul Istefam Interrogative Hamza Are we believing Anbanah As fools have believed
Will we believe like the faith of fools Safiraal is Sufaha which means fool We have explained Ala Innahum Sufaha its meaning is clear We have seen before Walaqillah but they are not Yalamun They do not know Alim Yalamun From yalamun alima means he knew yalamu means he knows yalamun means they onun actually they became the meaning well this is the translation of the whole then and when lak meets lakia he met with waw means they met here because of ija it will mean met when met allajina with all those people who are amanu who have believed allajina is saying
that a group of people their identity is found in the next part allajina who are amanu who have believed ilakkulla when they meet with those who have believed kalu then they say amanna we have also believed amana waw is added to amanu this we have seen before right amana means he believed waw means they believed here the meaning is allajina amanu means those who have believed when they meet with those who have believed say kalu we have seen before what they say kala waw is added to kalu this we have seen before amanna amana he has believed if not joined amanna we have believed
If it is not associated with the word “Amanah” it means “We have believed”. Then when they meet with those who have believed, they say “We have believed” and “Khalashtihim”. And when the aunt meets with their devils in private, the Shayatin is the plural of the devil. Their devils, that is, their companions and their leaders are called their devils because they are devils. They are evil. Then what do they say? Well, first, see one thing that is not translated here. I will explain why. Before that, we see the devil. From the devil,
the Shayatin plural is “Hum” or “Him” always means “They” or “Their Shayatin”. With their devils, the aunt means “To meet in private”. If it is plural, it means “They meet in private”. The aunt usually comes with “B”. So it was supposed to be “Khalaw Bayatinhim” but when it comes to “Ila” it is a wonderful thing in Arabic that it is [sigh] You see, the aunt was supposed to be “Biyaatinhim” right ? The natural rule is because they secretly meet with the devils. But
instead of the preposition or the preposition that was supposed to come, another preposition comes, indicating that there is another verb here. You have to understand that there is another verb here. What is that? The verb that goes with the word ila is insarafu. So now, for this reason, the Quran expresses a wide meaning in a few words. The meaning has become insarafuilashatih bihim, meaning that the aunt is also there, but she has met privately . The b that was supposed to come with it, bata,
has been included here by changing it to ila only. The verb with which the ila preposition is placed. What is that verb? Insarafu means moving away. That is, when they turn away from the believers and meet their devils in private, the meaning of “wakhala bihim” will also be there because this fall is clear, and the meaning of “insaraf” is also included here, only because of the preposition “ila”. The name of this rule is “taddmin” meaning one fall includes the meaning of another fall
. The fall also includes the meaning of “insaraf” by this preposition “ila” and gives a comprehensive meaning. That is, what will the meaning be now? The meaning of “pura” will be when they turn towards their devils and meet them in private, then it is said, if it has to be translated properly, it should be translated like this. And when they turn towards their devils and where did they find the master by moving away? The preposition “ila” indicates that there
is a verb and another verb, this is “insaraf” which is moving away, which is not clear here , but it will come into the meaning, where did they find it with them because “khala” is also here. These two together give the meaning of aunt bihim, will join them because aunt will come with it or come as I said before and will join them exclusively then when they join exclusively they join exclusively they move towards the devil and join them exclusively saying innamakum inna means surely we are maqum with you
with you ma means with kum means your maqum with you innama mustahaz inna we have seen before that we are only mustahazin mocking mustahaz singular on is added mustahazin means plural we are mocking innamak we are with you we are only mocking sablil. Allahu yastahjibihim. Allah yasahji means mocking. bihim is joined with yastahji with them. bi is a preposition. As it is said interested in. It is said prefer to. In Arabic like yastahjibihim. While translating we can say with. Allah mocks with them. It doesn’t say Allahu Yasthahum. What does it say in Arabic?
Yastahji bihim mocked them Istahja comes from Yastahji is past he mocked Yastahji he or she mocked Wamudhuhum Yamuddu means we have explained to give concessions to them in the past they were in the middle of their transgressions Yamahum they wandered around in confusion Maddamudu This word comes from Madda the past is Madda he gave concessions Yamudu he or she gives concessions or gives present future Amaha Yamahu means lost Amaha means he wandered around in the middle of his journey Yamaha he
wandered around in the middle of his journey Yamahun they wandered or lost Ulaika they Ulaika means they are Allahzin they are what they did Ishtara Ishtara means he bought what if wao is added they we know it is Ishtara they bought what adla means misguidance bill Huda Huda It means guidance or in exchange for guidance, why is Ishtara also here placed on the waw because it has to be taken from the dak because there is al here, if you take the dadh directly without reading the al, there will be trouble if there is sukun in the waw. That is why
the rule of reading with pesh has been changed and it has been called elata. Otherwise, the word was ishtara. So this pesh is only coming for reading. Bilhuda means in exchange for guidance, fama rabihat. Fa here, but take it in the sense. Mata does not understand it, mother. In the sense of la. mother rabihat. It was not profitable. Rabiha means to be profitable. When Rabiha is feminine, it becomes rabihat. Why is it feminine? Because here its subject is tijara. It is being said that the business was not profitable. That is why since the word business tijara has a round at the end.
Look at this tijarah. It has been added to hum. The chapter is what it is because of the addition of the Tijaratuhum logic . Whatever it is, it is there. That is why it is a feminine word. That is why it is Rabihat. Yes. Rabihat is. To be profitable . Ma Rabihat means not profitable. Rabihat means profitable . Ma Rabihat means profitable. So this mata is not what Ma Masdaria saw a little earlier. It is negative ma. In the sense of la. Ma Bihatijar’s business was not profitable. Wama is also
not that clear. Wama Kanu Mutadin. Kanu is Kana means he was. By adding Wao, they became Makanu means they were not. Kanu means they were. Makanu means they were not Muhtadin means they were not guided Muhtadin means they were not guided Ihtada means they were guided The one who is guided is called Muhtadin If you add waun to it, it becomes plural, just like if you add yanun it becomes plural Why did you have to add yanun to make it plural This is due to a situation, we will know that later, so in terms of meaning, Mufatadun and Mufatadin are the same. It means
those who were guided, that is, they were not guided. In simple Bengali , they were not on the right path. That is, in the trade they did, they sold guidance and bought misguidance in exchange for guidance. In this transaction, they were not on the right path. As a result, they suffered losses. Subhan Allah bihamdiq Ashadullah.
